About Jan Lloyd
Jan is a retired mathematics and science teacher, now living in the beautiful mid-Wales region. The bones of the War Torn series were written thirty years ago when there was little interest in WW2. That has all changed. Jan retrieved the manuscripts from her wardrobe, where they had lived for thirty years, after her daughter asked if she could read the books. Jan later put the manuscript in the hands of a great developmental editor and then continued with copious self-editing, followed by line editing and proofreading. War Torn Book 1 was published in March 2023, just before Jan’s 72nd birthday.
War Torn Book 1 has been well received. Book 2 was published in December 2023. In August this year, 2024, Jan released a paranormal Time Slip novel, unusually set in 1914 and 1964. The setting for the standalone story is Warwickshire, where Jan grew up and the village her children grew up.
War Torn Book 3 has recently been published, completing the War Torn trilogy.
Jan is presently working on a novel set in the reign of Elizabeth 1st about Elizabeth's cousin, the little-known Arbella Stuart. She hopes to publish this in a few weeks' time.
When Jan isn't writing, she enjoys gardening and walking her two Cavalier dogs, Lily and Raffa.
